Providing high levels of resilience and security for their wide range of clients

About the project

Salute has been working with CloudCoCo (formerly IDE Group) for over 4 years, providing critical facilities maintenance and energy optimisation services (EOS) for their flagship data centre in Bournemouth. Salute is responsible for ensuring high levels of resilience and security for clients including international media, medical, legal, and financial institutions, channel partners & resellers, public sector, and many of the UK’s network carriers.

Salute has successfully provided zero disruption maintenance for this critical facility throughout the relationship, self-delivering a range of services with 24/7 *365 monitoring and supporting the regional colocation and managed service provider. This is done through its computer aided facilities management platform along with some statutory and function critical maintenance.

In addition through its Energy Optimisation Study (EOS), which is designed to optimise the energy efficiency of datacentres, saving money and reducing carbon,

Salute has been helping to optimise the data centre, reducing CloudCoCo’s and its customers’ carbon footprint, leveraging the facility through reduced embedded carbon.

Having a robust pre-construction phase before undertaking the design and build or upgrade of a data centre facility has a number of major benefits for clients. These include consistent tender responses and an ability to maintain cost control. For organisations that are operating a live environment it also ensures that there is no impact on existing operations.
